AEG Executive Council Nominations

Call for Nominations for 2009-2010 AEG Executive Council


The nominations committee is seeking nominations for qualified individuals to serve on the AEG Executive Council (EC) beginning in the 2009-2010 term. The commitment will be for five years total as the individual moves through the EC positions.

The annual commitment of serving on the EC follows:
  • Fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the office as described in Article 3 of the Association’s Bylaws (Bylaws are printed in the AEG Directory or in the members’ area of the AEG web site at www.aegweb.org).
  • Attend two 1.5-day Executive Council Workshops; typically these workshops are held in Denver, one each over a weekend in January and July.
  • Attend a one day EC workshop on the day prior to the mid-year Board of Directors (BOD) meeting (generally in May, and on a Friday)
  • Attend a one day EC workshop on the day prior to the start on the Annual Meeting (generally on a Tuesday)
  • Attend two, 2-day BOD Meetings; one mid-year BOD meeting generally held over a weekend in May and the Annual BOD meeting, which immediately follows the Annual Meeting (held on a Saturday and Sunday).
  • Attend monthly conference calls with the EC.
  • Take on the various responsibilities of each EC officer as one moves through the elected positions (Printed in the AEG Directory)
  • Maintain active and timely participation on the EC through conference calls, e-mails, etc.
Nominees will be asked to provide their history of leadership within and outside of AEG, their view of AEG’s future, how they see their role in maintaining the core values of the Association, abilities that will enable them to work positively with a diverse BOD and EC, and their desire and ability to make a long-term commitment (5 years) to the AEG Executive Council.

Nominations for the 2009-2010 year close on March 1, 2009. Names of perspective candidates should be submitted to the nominations committee care of Dorian Kuper, Nominations Committee Chairperson as follows:
